Birth is an important event, and you only want the best for you, your baby and family.  Pregnancy can be a time of overwhelming - and often conflicting - information.  Sorting this information is a major challenge, and frustratingly, you still may not discover the services and advice that you need for your unique pregnancy and birth.

At Essential Birth Consulting, I understand these concerns and offer a range of services to meet your needs.  I provide choice of place of birth (home birth, hospital birth or birth centre), as well as a range of pregnancy and birth services.  I work for you, not your care-giver or hospital / birth centre.  All advice is offered with your interests in mind.  

Many women believe that all they need do to achieve a safe birth is to see an obstetrician or go to the best hospital.  While there is some truth in this, a deeper understanding of pregnancy and birth can help you negotiate the care you need and achieve a safer and healthier birth for you and your baby.

I see my role as supporting you, whether you are planning home birth or a hospital birth.

I understand that convenience is important to you, so services may be provided in your home, and before / after hours and weekend appointments are available.  Alternatively, families may choose to attend my Bexley clinic.

Families pay an hourly rate for all services.
